Cakepops | Yellow & Gray Baby Shower

I love when customers know exactly what they want. It takes the guess work out for me, and I know exactly what I need to do to make them happy. Plus, I am the same way when it comes to planning, so I can appreciate that.

My most recent order was for an old friend and I was so happy she contacted me to make cake pops for a family member’s baby shower.

Her theme was gray and yellow, with baby giraffes and elephants.

I have made giraffes before, but it was fun to make them a little different this time.

Elephants are a different story.  I have been asked to make elephants before and failed miserably.  Enough, for me to just tell the customer, I couldn’t make them.  This time, I HAD to make them, and after my first attempt…they turned out awful again.  Stupid trunk…

There was no way I could give them out the way they were or make a customer pay for them.  So I made another whole cake just for four cakes pops, and I was so happy I did. Here is a picture of the first (on the left) and then the new ones.

Totally different style, but so much better! I was SO happy and am in love with how they all turned out.
